A friend to the end -- what a beautiful philosophy.
Without friendship in our lives, where would we all be?

The world would be filled with lonliness and despair.
We would have nobody to love and nobody to care.

Who would listen when we needed someone to hear?
Who would be there when we needed somebody near?

Friends are there to provide us with all of the above.
They give us kindness, affection, comfort and love.

They are in our hearts and on our minds everyday.
Whether they live next door to us or live far away.

With friends we share our feelings, our dreams and our fears.
We share the smiles, the laughter, the heartaches and tears.

And though there are times when cross words may be spoken,
the bond between true friends will still not be broken.

With friends to support us in our times of need,
we can conquer the odds and go on to succeed.

We should thank God everyday that friendship is alive,
because as long as it lives we will survive.

There are no actions or words that could ever express,
how much friends mean to us and our happiness.

Never take friendship for granted and always handle it with care.
Treat your friends with respect and they will always be there.

Just sign up for the Internet and let your fingers dance.

Though it may seem a little scary when you first begin your journey,
the fear will pass as you travel along, just try it yourself and see.

An environment of knowledge and fun will unfold before your eyes.
You can enter and survey it all, using your very own disguise.

Find information on subjects ranging from physics to video games.
So many places to visit, you won't remember all the names.

Keep in touch with your family and friends through e-mail and ICQ.
Just send a message out to them and they'll write back to you.

Connect with people from exotic places or people right next door.
Expand your horizons with new experiences; get out there and explore!

There are chat rooms and e-mail; cards and flowers that you can send.
The wonders found in this special place never seem to end.

But best of all are the special people that you meet while you are there.
Without ever seeing them face to face you still learn to truly care.

You talk to them in chat rooms and learn about who they are.
If they like to read or swim or write or to simply drive their car.

You look forward to the time each day when you can visit once again,
to laugh and joke, to talk and listen, or to just "BE" with a friend.

So if you are feeling lonely and bored, or just plain feeling down,
you can join your friends on the Internet, where someone is always around.

Don't get me wrong, because you will find that evil plays its part.
But the good outweighs the bad by far, if you listen with your heart.

Just try your best to ignore and avoid those things from the negative side.
Take care while you travel through this new age land and let yourself
enjoy the ride.

I'm glad I did and I wrote this poem to thank those friends that inspired
me to stay.
